Hosted by Executive Alliance and the University of Georgia, Griffin Campus, join us for lunch as our guest on Friday, December 9, 2011 at the 57th Fighter Group Restaurant in Atlanta to learn about the University of Georgia’s brand new 2012 program focused on Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

The Homeland Security and Emergency Management Institute at the University of Georgia's Griffin Campus, has been created to address the complex issues and challenges that face today’s security and disasters specialists. This seven module program is designed to engage leaders from both the public and private sectors to increase their tactical readiness through intensive study in real-world applications. The concept of a public/private approach to Homeland Security and Emergency Management offers unique opportunities for expanded and total community readiness. The program offer today’s practitioners the opportunity to understand the need for interoperability and seamless communications when planning, responding, and mitigating acts of terror and disasters.

Overview of the Homeland Security and Emergency Management Institute's 2012 Program:

Practitioners will have the opportunity to learn in a professional environment, surrounded by their Homeland Security and Emergency Management peers. Each of the modules is one-week in length, utilizing 40 hours of instructional time, taught at the University of Georgia, Griffin Campus. The Institute is comprised of seven modules per cohort of students, each offering a modern and comprehensive approach to community readiness and strategic security solutions.

Professionals with busy schedules can also choose to pursue a ‘Specialist Track’ in one of three disciplines:

  • Specialist in Homeland Security
  • Specialist in Emergency Management
  • Specialist in Homeland Security and Emergency Management Technology

 

A Specialist Track consists of three modules that offers the practitioner a concentrated focus on their preference from three discipline choices.
